AI Readiness Checklist

Is this process ready for AI?

Twenty yes-or-no questions across the five areas I check before any build. Each yes is five points. Your score, and what to do with it, appears as you go. Nothing is stored or sent anywhere.

Your readiness score

0/100

Tick what's true today. A rough answer is fine; this is a starting point, not an exam.

Process clarity

Can the work be written down?

Data access

Can a system reach the inputs?

Systems & integration

Is there somewhere for the output to go?

People & ownership

Will anyone own it after launch?

Risk & governance

Do you know what must never happen?

What the score means

Three ranges, three next steps

0–45

Start with the process, not the AI

Something upstream isn't ready: the work isn't written down, the data isn't reachable, or nobody will own the result. An AI Readiness Sprint fixes that order of operations in two weeks and ends with a roadmap.

50–70

Pick one process and pilot it

You're close. Choose the single process with the clearest hours-saved number, run it on a small slice in a test environment, and measure before scaling.

75–100

Build it

The inputs, outputs and owners exist. A build sprint of two to six weeks takes it from spec to a tested system your team runs.
